Hurrys to Move to Uganda in 2012
We have some exciting news of an international nature. As we prayerfully prepared for our marriage covenant over 4 years ago, one theme we confidently embraced and appreciated from the Lord was His calling to one day serve internationally together. This year, we have begun taking steps to embrace this calling and are planning to move to Uganda in 2012.
It’s still early in the process, but we are desiring to go as part of a multi-gifted team and our next steps are to go on a scouting trip to Uganda this summer. We will be going with a team of 7 people through our church, Common Ground, and the team will be meeting with various ministries in Kampala and northern Uganda. During this 2 week trip the team will be gathering data, praying, discerning and being the eyes and ears on the ground as we seek God’s vision for this venture.
If you are interested in more information or are interested in exploring the option of joining Common Ground and the Hurrys in 2012, you can email: uganda@cground.org.

Consider Making Year-End Donation to ServLife on behalf of the Hurrys
As the end of the year approaches, if you are looking for some avenues for your year-end giving, Bridget and I wanted to invite you to consider making a donation to ServLife. I have been on staff with ServLife for almost 3 years, and it is a great organization that is doing some amazing work around the world.
Bridget and I are setting a goal to raise $500 by the year’s end. You can make a donation through our fund raising page. Thank you in advance for your help and considering making a donation to this cause.
Your support serves the mission of ServLife to restore hope to children and the global poor through:

More Candy
We all made it out for Halloween (Ethan’s third and Evelyn’s first, surpassed last year’s total of 2 houses!). Ethan had a dragon costume that he didn’t wear, so we ended up carrying it the whole evening and Evelyn was a bear, cute as ever. Be sure to check out the full album of pictures from the evening below.
We went out with Mike, Kari, and Eli Kuebler, good friends that live in our neighbor. Ethan was introduced to the “world of candy.” Though he was reluctant at first, once he took a bite of the first M & M, there was no turning back as went house to house,… “more candy”
