Hear Bridget and I singing “Amen” with Ethan before bed time last night.

We all made it out for Halloween (Ethan’s third and Evelyn’s first, surpassed last year’s total of 2 houses!). Ethan had a dragon costume that he didn’t wear, so we ended up carrying it the whole evening and Evelyn was a bear, cute as ever. We went out with Mike, Kari, and Eli Kuebler, good friends that live in our neighbor. Ethan was introduced to the “world of candy.” Though he was reluctant at first, once he took a bite of the first M & M, there was no turning back as went house to house,… “more candy”

This is a riot. Ethan hip shakin while over at  Eli’s house (Ethan’s best neighborhood buddy)..so funny. Watch the little hip shake at the end, hilarious

We got some updated family pics taken last month by our photographer, Brandy Cunningham. As always, she does amazing work, we highly recommend her. Ethan just turned 2 and Evelyn is about 6 weeks old in these pictures. She has already gotten bigger since these pics. More Hurry Happenings and updates coming soon. Enjoy!

It’s been two weeks since Evelyn has been born and we’re starting to get into the flow as a family of four and navigate the sleepless haze, . We’ve been incredibly blessed with gifts and meals from family and friends, so thank you all! Ethan is fascinated by baby Evy (pronounced like Chevy, without the Ch), and you can hear him throughout the day saying “baby, baby,..” He likes pushing her swing, peering over the edge of her bed as she sleeps, putting Evy’s pacifier in her mouth, and climbing over Mom and Dad as we hold and feed her on the couch. He is really good with her and he’s going to be a great big brother.

I’m heading back to work tomorrow and have really enjoyed being with the family that past 2 weeks. Bridget will be home for another 6 weeks, so we’re excited about that. We wanted to share some pictures of Evelyn and the family from the first two weeks, including pics from the hospital, Ethan and Evelyn interacting, some full family pics,..
