Yesterday we took advantage of some free state fair tickets from the local newspaper and spent the day at the fair. Highlights from the day included: looking at fish in the DNR building, seeing the full range of animals from the farm, the little hands on the farm activities, family elephant ride, and all the staple fair food treats. Good times!

He had such a great time and all his buds were there. All the kiddos were red cheeked after many many rounds through all the jumpy jumps and slides and to end the day, Monkey Joe himself paid a visit and everyone enjoyed pizza and Cars cupcakes.

Had a great time trick or treating with the kiddos last night! (See “More Candy” for last year’s adventures) This year, Ethan was a clown and Evelyn was a lion. We pulled them in their wagon, so they had a mobile oasis in between candy stops that was filled with snacks and tasty treats. Grandma saved my clown suit from when I was around Ethan’s age and she fixed it up a bit and brought it over this week for Ethan to wear. The costume Ethan is wearing is 30 years old! (minus the ruffle around my neck and the hip monkey hat) See the picture on the right of me when I wore it, :)
