Yesterday we took advantage of some free state fair tickets from the local newspaper and spent the day at the fair. Highlights from the day included: looking at fish in the DNR building, seeing the full range of animals from the farm, the little hands on the farm activities, family elephant ride, and all the staple fair food treats. Good times!

In honor of the 34 degree weather we’re having, we wanted to share some “playing in the snow” highlights from the past few months.

Tough to see the Colts lose tonight. Here’s some pictures of Ethan and Evelyn earlier today when we were getting geared up for the game, playing with some homemade pom poms that Bridget made.

One of Ethan’s favorite things to do is play with water. We filled up the sink here and it evolved to a musical bubble melody in a cup.

Before Ethan turns four, , we wanted to post some pictures from his birthday party at Monkey Joe’s this past July, just before we left for our Uganda trip. He had such a great time and all his buds were there. All the kiddos were red cheeked after many many rounds through all the jumpy jumps and slides and to end the day, Monkey Joe himself paid a visit and everyone enjoyed pizza and Cars cupcakes.

Had a great time trick or treating with the kiddos last night! (See “More Candy” for last year’s adventures) This year, Ethan was a clown and Evelyn was a lion. We pulled them in their wagon, so they had a mobile oasis in between candy stops that was filled with snacks and tasty treats. Grandma saved my clown suit from when I was around Ethan’s age and she fixed it up a bit and brought it over this week for Ethan to wear. The costume Ethan is wearing is 30 years old! (minus the ruffle around my neck and the hip monkey hat) See the picture on the right of me when I wore it,

Burying people in animals is one of Ethan’s favorite activities. He buried Mommy last night  and he decided he wanted to be buried today, Can you find Ethan?
