A Night With Local Indianapolis Band, Ashworth

AshworthDowntownA few weeks back, I (Steve) had the opportunity to sit in as guest percussionist with a local Indianapolis band, Ashworth. We played a show down in Louisville, Kentucky, at O’Shea’s Irish Pub. It was a great night of music, and we ended up playing until about 2:00 AM (got back to Indy about 6 AM, Adam was the trooper at the helm on the way back.) Bill and Marissa, good friends from Indy, made the journey down to enjoy some of the show and bring some Indianapolis respresentation.

Ashworth just released a new album called, DOWNTOWN, and you can purchase it online. Hear some of their music on the Ashworth MySpace Page.

Happy Birthday My Beautiful Wife

In our family, we have a tradition when we celebrate birthdays. We don’t just celebrate on the birthday, but we celebrate “birthday week”, starting 3 days before and 3 days after the birthday. Bridget celebrated her birthday this past weekend, and as birthday week comes to an end, I invite you to join me in wishing Bridget Happy Birthday!

(Pictures were taken on her birthday; we dressed Ethan up and we had a little Mommy/Ethan birthday photo shoot)

Check out the Size of that Leaf Pile

(Look close at the top of the leaf pile) We got around to doing some leaf blowing in our front yard today and the result was the biggest leaf pile I’ve ever seen! After Ethan woke up from his nap, Mommy and him came outside and Ethan had quite the leaf pile experience. The pile was so big, it attracted some of the neighbors and their children on our street, and we all had a blast hanging out together. After we left to head to a friend’s house for the Colt’s game, our neighbors gave us an incredible gift and bagged almost all of our leaves!! Thank you so much for serving our household, you all rocked our world when we pulled in the driveway.

Live from the Bounce House

As we all know, the Bounce House is always a party favorite among the little ones! A few months back, Ethan got to partake in his first Bounce House experience, at the Deakyne/White birthday party BBQ we went to. Daddy even joins in the action from behind the camera..

For you serious bloggers out there or for those that want to learn more about what the blogging phenomenon is about, check out this report (State of the Blogosphere Report 2008) put together by technorati.com, a blog search engine site that tracks about 113 million blogs.

There are varying estimates, but some stats say there are now over 184 million people worldwide that have started a blog and over 346 million people that read blogs worldwide! The report is pretty fascinating and if you have a few moments, I recommend checking it out.

Jesus Loves this Baby

Bridget’s sister Bethany got Ethan this great shirt. As we tried to get a picture of him in it, he managed to spill water on himself, as he is really into drinking from one of his sippy cups lately that has this pop up straw in it and he tends to wear most of the water when drinking from it . Thanks again Aunt Bethany, great shirt!

*Also, new look to the Hurry Home. I installed a new theme to the site, to be a little more cross-browser friendly. Hope you like it.
