Rocky Mountain Hurrys
Last month we had the opportunity to travel to Colorado and spend time with friends and family in Boulder and Aspen. It was such an amazing trip. Our journey started off a little chilly and wet as we landed, and in a place that boasts 300 days of sunshine a year, you would think showing up in short sleeves and shorts would be alright, but that’s what I get for not checking the weather. As is the nature of the weather in Colorado, quickly turned to sunshine within the next day.
Our stay in Boulder was great and we got to spend some time with friends there. One of the highlights was getting take out from our favorite restaurant in Boulder, Sherpas, and we warmed our bellies with some Yak stew, delicious,… We then made the drive over independence pass through hail and every kind of adverse condition you can imagine (we passed a car that was flipped over) and we arrived in Aspen safely. We stayed with Bridget’s Aunt and Uncle and some other family friends that were there for the extended wknd as well. Such a beautiful city. We ate many a good meal (including eating at famous Woody Creek Tavern), took regular walks through town and surrounding parks, and we even hiked up a trail toting Ethan on our back, so quite the adventures. Pics are below, enjoy!

Ah, Bridget, you were so near! Well, relatively speaking…Moab is not too far from Aspen. I love Boulder too. My baby sister just got her PhD there this year (just weeks before she had her first baby!).
Glad to hear you had a good trip! God bless.
