The Quake of 08′
If you haven’t heard, there was a 5.2 magnitude earthquake that hit the midwest early this morning, with aftershocks throughout the day, read more. Pretty crazy experiencing a quake here in Indiana. Read comments from other people that experienced it.
To you Californians, that may not even be high enough to wake you up, but quite the shocker in these parts. Bridget and I didn’t wake up during it this morning, but I think it woke Ethan up, as we heard him stirring just before 6:00 this morning. I felt some of the aftershocks during a work meeting this morning, and that was pretty surreal. My (Steve’s) first quake.
We would love to hear your comments if you have an experience to share from The Quake of 08′!!

Australian Photographer to Check Out, Peter Lik
If you haven’t seen any of Peter Lik’s work, you need to check out his Web site, www.peterlik.com. You can also do an image search in Google and find all kinds of pictures, just search “Peter Lik”.
He’s an amazing panoramic photographer, mostly shooting landscape images. He is from Australia, but has since moved to the United States and has shot all over the country. I was first introduced to his photography by my friend Mike, when I went to visit him in Australia while he was studying there in 2001. I got an opportunity to visit Peter’s original gallery in Cairnes, in North East Australia, and Bridget and I went to his gallery in Maui in May of 2007. He has other galleries in Hawaii, Las Vegas, California, Colorado, Florida, one in New York soon to come,..So, if you get an opportunity to see his prints in person, it’s quite the experience. His work is pretty pricey, but you can get posters, calendars, postcards, coffee table books, etc.. relatively inexpensive. Check out the store on his Web site or elsewhere on the Internet. I included a few pics I found of his online and a promo video Peter has out on YouTube, enjoy!

Daddy and Ethan on the Didg
One of my favorite instruments I own is a didgeridoo I bought in Australia back in 2001, and I recently introduced Ethan (my little mate) to it, lol… Check out Ethan and Daddy on the Didg.

Ethan Breakin’ Beats on the Djembe with Daddy (Video)
Check out this video of Ethan jammin’ on the Djembe with Daddy. My favorite part is around (2:15) after he gets warmed up a bit, when he throws a few double beats and starts doing the hand slide across the drum face, he’s a natural… A little percussionist in the making, training him up early.

Grandmas Celebrate Ethan’s First Easter (Photos)
Ethan had some quality Grandma time this past weekend, as both Grandmas were in town to celebrate Ethan’s first Easter. Steve’s Mom, Jan, lives in town and Carol, Bridget’s Mom, drove in from St. Louis for the Easter festivities. It was a great weekend, as we got to worship together on Easter and then hang out at the Muller home (longtime friends of the family), eating a nice hearty meal with honey baked ham, dying Easter eggs, watching Ethan just being fascinated with everything and being spoiled by the Grandmas with gifts and marinated in love.
